Welcome!
I'm Helen Barrington, I am a qualified National Council for the Training of Journalists photographer and based from my garden photography studio in Biggar, South Lanarkshire. I was the Chief Photographer at Berkshire Media Group for a number of years before moving back to Scotland to provide editorial and PR images for national press, magazines, commercial and public sector clients. In 2007 I set up Helen Barrington Photography and since then I have had the privilege of using my journalistic background and experience to provide natural, relaxed and fun documentary style images to capture beautiful wedding day stories for couples, family portraits and also photography for PR and marketing purposes for organisations of all sizes. I aim to bring a level of creativity that is unique to each client.

Wedding Photography
No matter how big or small, your wedding is unique, and your photography should be too. Through the lens I will document the happiness and romance of your wedding day story with beautiful and classical photographs of this most special occasion.
I use a documentary style of photography to capture all the spontaneous and special moments of love, laughter and fun of your day, as well as some gently directed shots, to create a beautiful collection of images in both colour and the black and white, providing you with a wedding album that is designed for you. I offer a bespoke service with luxury wedding albums or coffee table books for all budgets, I can also offer other products to display your wedding day photographs at their best.

Family Photography
If you are finding that your children are growing up too quickly or that you would like to celebrate a special anniversary with professional portraits of your family then I would be delighted to provide you with a beautiful tangible memory to keep in the form of a wall portrait, album or collection of prints in a beautiful gift box.
My family photo shoots are taken on location either in your garden or at a scenic location in Scotland or in my studio in Biggar, and tend to be relaxed and fun. As a result, my family shoots are experiences to be enjoyed by the whole family including the dogs!
